“Bright Ideas” for Sunshine Week

Since the first national Sunshine Week in 2005, participants have come up with increasingly innovative ways to discuss, educate and generally raise awareness about the importance of open government and how to use it.

Several, though not nearly all, of these efforts were collected after Sunshine Weeks 2005 and 2006 into the “Bright Ideas” books, which were made available free while supplies lasted. While those are long gone, still available are PDFs of the books, linked below.

Bright Ideas for 2007

Creative ideas from 2008 and 2009 also were archived online and can be seen here. Though many of the links to the work have long since expired, the brief write ups convey the gist of each project.

If you have your own Bright Ideas from past Sunshine Weeks, or new ideas for 2013, please share them at sunshineweek @ asne.org.
